‘Avengers: Endgame’ review: So bittersweet, but emotionally satisfying
'Avengers: Endgame' is an emotional, satisfying conclusion full of fan service to the 1st 22 films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Infinity Saga.

Avengers: Infinity War left me (and probably everyone else who saw it) flabbergasted, while breaking a ton of box office records along the way. But now I've had time to process it, here are my spoiler-filled thoughts on it.
If there's anything that can get me out of my writing slump (for now), it's Avengers: Infinity War -- the culmination of all we've been waiting for since we first saw Thanos six years ago -- which I just watched today. Took leave to catch the very first show (which was pretty packed, despite the early hour!) And can I say: WHOA.
I'm back! I ended up skipping last month's edition of "Movies Coming Soon" because procrastination got in the way. :S This is late too, but there are some really great movies coming out this month that I want to talk about, so I'm getting this out before it makes no more sense to publish it.
The general consensus among critics seems to be that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 isn't as good as the first one. I'm not so sure about that. The first movie was the oddball, weird kooky cousin of the other Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, and I did like it, but not as fondly as say, Thor or Ant-Man, or even Doctor Strange. Vol. 2 feels darker and more emotional than the first, though it still retains its quirkiness. If not for the underlying sinister tones of the film, I would have preferred it to the first. As it is, their pros and cons balance them out for me.
