Avengers: Infinity War left me (and probably everyone else who saw it) flabbergasted, while breaking a ton of box office records along the way. But now I've had time to process it, here are my spoiler-filled thoughts on it.
If there's anything that can get me out of my writing slump (for now), it's Avengers: Infinity War -- the culmination of all we've been waiting for since we first saw Thanos six years ago -- which I just watched today. Took leave to catch the very first show (which was pretty packed, despite the early hour!) And can I say: WHOA.
Thor: Ragnarok is a slapstick action comedy made by grown children. ?
Stephen King's magnum opus, The Dark Tower, a long book series with a sprawling mythology and epic battle of good against evil, has finally been made into a movie. I've heard it being talked about for years as this practically unfilmable book series -- kind of like The Lord of the Rings -- that Hollywood has been trying so hard to adapt for at least the last decade, but hasn't been able to succeed until now.
Half the world -- excluding North America and a few other unlucky foreign markets who only get it after May 1 -- went to watch Avengers: Age of Ultron over the past weekend. If you are the unicorn who intends to but hasn't yet: GO WATCH IT NOW. Because here there be (minor) spoilers, unless you don't mind reading them.
