I'm back! I ended up skipping last month's edition of "Movies Coming Soon" because procrastination got in the way. :S This is late too, but there are some really great movies coming out this month that I want to talk about, so I'm getting this out before it makes no more sense to publish it.
Disney held its D23 Expo this past weekend. For the uninitiated, it is their biennial fan event in Anaheim showcasing exclusive sneak peeks at what's happening in the entertainment brands under Disney, including star-studded presentations for their animation and live-action series and films, parks and resorts, and more.
Spotlight won Best Picture! It was a surprise, as The Revenant looked on track to win after picking up two of the major awards, while Spotlight hadn't won anything other than Original Screenplay. But I'm pleased it won.
This is a post on my feelings after watching Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I won't mention any plot points, but even so, if you haven't watched the movie, BACK OUT NOW, because the moment you watch the movie, you'll know what I'm talking about before the thing has happened yet.
