We're now in the summer blockbuster season! I've been waiting for this since 2012, after The Avengers came out and they announced the sequel for May 1, 2015. :')
By now, if you haven't heard, the first four episodes of Game of Thrones season 5 was leaked by someone with a press screener copy, probably guaranteeing that HBO never sends out press screeners ever again.
What can I say about Fast & Furious 7 (or Furious 7, as it is known in the U.S.), which I haven't already said about Fast & Furious 6? Or any other film in the franchise, for that matter?
There are movies that I like, movies I love, and movies I *love*. The first are movies I think are good and will watch again, maybe once, at the most twice, such as Kingsman: The Secret Service, Birdman, The Divergent Series: Insurgent. (Anything else is overkill.) The second are movies I’ll gladly watch a few more times, like The Lego Movie and Whiplash, though I need some distance between each viewing. The last category belongs to the films that have won my heart and mind entirely, the ones which after I finished watching them for the first time in the cinema, I immediately wanted to go back in and rewatch them a second, third, fourth time. Cinderella belongs squarely in the last.
I've already told you how I feel about the winners. Now I'm watching the show and delayed-blogging it.
Since everyone and anyone is analysing who will win and who should win the Oscars tomorrow, let me toss my hat in the ring as well.
Whiplash is an awesome, AWESOME film. Go watch it.
There are a lot of awards-baiting movies coming out soon, and while I have absolutely no doubt they are good/great, I just have zero interest in watching them. Like I said before, they just don't have the cast and/or subject matter to interest me.

Though 2014 wasn't a remarkable year for Hollywood, 2015 is looking good. Every entertainment website on the internet, whether of note or not, has already listed their most anticipated movies for the year, so I shan't add my voice to the chatter. (I agree with most of them anyway. Besides, if you read my blog often enough, you already know what film I want to watch the most this year.)
