Once again, I caught wind of tragic things happening from my ever-so-reliable Facebook feed (and other sources). Due to choice words being used, I could even guess who these tragic things will happen to. But I couldn't imagine how heartbreaking it would be. :'-O "Hold the door!"

This was a fairly pleasant episode overall. Reunions happened, Dany delivered a fiery judgment on some sexist rapist Khals, and Jon agreed to fight that other bastard Ramsay. And Theon made his way back to Pyke without Ramsay capturing him again, so that's a win!

When I got on Twitter this morning, I noticed that "Olly" and "Rickon" were trending (to my dismay, since I wanted to avoid spoilers). I also saw a headline that said someone with "blind faith" was going to die, accompanied by a picture of Ser Davos, Melisandre and Jon Snow, which led me to believe that either Ser Davos or Melisandre was going.

‘Captain America: Civil War’ review: HEARTBREAKING.

Captain America: Civil War is heartbreaking. It's a much more sombre film than any in the Marvel Cinematic Universe before, walloping you in the stomach with emotional punches. But it is also one of the best Marvel films to date -- second-best, in my opinion.

Game of Thrones is back. Yay? To be honest, I am not overly enthused about this new season, since the last one ended not very well for all our favourite characters (unless your favourite characters are the Boltons, and Ser Alliser Thorne and the traitors of the Night's Watch).

‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ review — but first, a backstory

Before I start on this review proper, buckle up for a not-so-brief history of how Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (from now on referred to as BVS) came to be. It'll help you understand why BVS rubbed me wrongly from the get-go, and why I went into it with derisive feelings. My friend accused me of being biased against the film, and so even if it was good, I wouldn't say so, but that's not true. *If* it was good, I would admit it -- in tones of absolute surprise, yes, but I would.

The 88th Annual Academy Awards roundup

Spotlight won Best Picture! It was a surprise, as The Revenant looked on track to win after picking up two of the major awards, while Spotlight hadn't won anything other than Original Screenplay. But I'm pleased it won.

My 88th Annual Academy Awards predictions *updated with winners*

The Oscars are tomorrow morning, and I wanted to get my predictions in -- or more accurately, my wishlist -- before results are announced. I haven't watched all the movies, much less the documentaries and shorts -- everything I've chosen is based on awards that have already been given out, analyses I've read from entertainment blogs and trade magazines, and pure guesses.
