Train to Busan happens to be one of the most apt movies for our present time. Even when I was watching it back in August, before Donald Trump's election, the parallels to Trump and the xenophobia that is running rampant in the world currently was striking, and prescient.
From the brief smattering of reactions that I saw on the internet, this season?series? finale has got really mixed reviews, with tons of people who hated it and tons others who loved it.
WHAT??? WHAT??? The Evil Sibling trope has struck???!!! :-O :-O :-O But first, let's back up a little.
So much can happen in one and a half hours, and never more was it proven than in this episode.

We have finally reached the end, and boy, what a finale!
The biggest, most expensive battle to be filmed for a TV show -- one that has been building for the last three seasons ever since the Red Wedding and Roose Bolton's betrayal -- finally came to fruition this episode, and it played out almost exactly as expected.
This week, I am switching up the format of this recap by talking about the various plots individually, instead of reacting to each scene as it happens. So many things happened in this episode, but it feels like they were stitched together more messily than usual, so my reactions were incoherently all over the place.
This episode marks the return of another character we thought long dead, as well as the introduction of a spitfire. (Hello, young lady!) Can we take it to mean that the show will bring back more people from the dead? So far, three people who died/we thought died have made their return this season. Can Ned Stark come back next (*not* as a white walker)? I miss him so. :'( And his children need him to rally the North. Imagine what a blindside that would be! Even bigger than the "is Jon Snow dead" conspiracy that the showrunners unsuccessfully tried to maintain last year. Just suggesting.
This week's episode felt like a filler episode: moving pieces along and catching everybody up on what the minor characters are doing before they get to the really important parts. Next week's should be full of heart-pounding excitement/heartache then.
