Shows I’m Watching in April 2020
Cinemas closed? No problem. There are still great shows to watch coming up on Apple TV+ and Netflix in April.

Buckle up, because this is going to be a long one. Like many Singaporeans last week, I watched Crazy Rich Asians to see how well Singapore comes off in the movie. I'll try to corral my many thoughts into a manageable puddle here, rather than an uncontrolled torrent of words.
One Day She'll Darken is based on the true story of Fauna Hodel, a woman who was given away as a baby by her teenage birth mother to a black female attendant in a casino restroom in Nevada. Her investigation into her past leads her to an infamous Hollywood gynaecologist who was connected to the legendary "Black Dahlia" murder of Elizabeth Short in LA in 1947. Chris Pine stars as a former Marine-turned-paparazzo who was disgraced over a story he wrote about Hodel, but sees an opportunity for redemption in her tracing her roots.
While looking through my many drafts, I found this post from almost two years ago. I never got around to polishing it, or by the time I did, it was already two months after the fact, which made me embarrassed to show how long I had procrastinated, so I just left it there. Though a bit outdated, I still have the same sentiments, so might as well let it see the light of day now.
